Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the retail store. They will assist in driving sales, managing customer interactions, ensuring hygiene and cleanliness standards are met, and supporting the overall achievement of store goals. The Assistant Store Manager will play a crucial role in team management and operational efficiency, stepping in to lead in the absence of the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting Store Manager:
    • Assists the Store Manager in implementing strategies to achieve sales targets and store growth.
    • Provides leadership and direction to the team when the Store Manager is unavailable.
    • Helps manage store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  2. Customer Management:
    • Ensures exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer needs and concerns.
    • Helps maintain a positive shopping environment by managing customer interactions and resolving complaints effectively.
    • Ensures that customer satisfaction levels are consistently met or exceeded.
  3. Sales Achievement:
    • Assists in tracking sales performance and actively works with the team to meet sales goals.
    • Contributes to sales strategies, promotions, and initiatives that drive revenue.
    • Works closely with staff to ensure they are motivated and aligned with store sales targets.
  4. Hygiene & Cleanliness:
    • Ensures that hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the store at all times.
    • Conducts regular inspections of the store to ensure it meets safety, hygiene, and organizational standards.
    • Coordinates with staff to maintain a neat and visually appealing store layout.
  5. Inventory & Stock Management:
    • Assists in managing inventory levels, ensuring stock availability, and supporting stock replenishment processes.
    • Helps minimize stock loss by ensuring correct handling and storage procedures are followed.
  6. Team Support & Training:
    • Provides training and guidance to store staff to improve customer service and sales techniques.
    • Supports the Store Manager in conducting performance evaluations and offering feedback to staff.
    • Helps manage staff schedules, attendance, and other personnel-related tasks.

  • Proven experience of 2+ years in retail or assistant management roles.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to assist in managing store operations and achieving sales targets.
  • Commitment to maintaining store cleanliness and a positive customer experience.
